The Races of Tyria: The Humans

The Humans arrived in the continent Cantha during 786 B.E and have since spread into the world and established several cultures and kingdoms amoung them.
The Humans were brought onto the continient Tyria in 205 B.E by the the Five Human Gods. Before the Exodus of the Gods, the gods used to live in Arah, City of the Gods. and have assisted humans in pushing the Charr north so that Ascalon could be built. Also, they aided King Doric so that he could become the first ruler of all the humans realms. These are just some of the tasks that the gods have aided humanity in. King Doric prayed to Dwayna to stop a war in 115 B.E, it was also him who begged that gods to stop the several
conflicts caused by the gift of magic being released too widely. It was also the blood of King Doric that sealed the bloodstones.

Humans are very dedicated to the worship of their Six Gods: Balthazar, Dwayna, Grenth, Lyssa, Melandru and Kormir. Each of these gods represent a different aspect. War, Life, Death, Beauty, Nature and Truth respectively. Due to the silence from the Gods in the past 200 years a minority of humans believe that the gods have deserted them. although the Six Gods still answer prayers of their followers, The Six Gods aren't as active in the world of Tyria as they used to be. Letting humanity find their own feet. Some humans dedicate their whole lives to worshipping one of the Six Gods.

Human naming styles and cultures vary by the many cultures the human race has, Ascalonian names are typically Central European or English styled names. Krytan names have a Southern European type of names in general, but also can contain a mixture of Ascalonian names from time to time. Orrians have a deep Arabic style. Canthan names use a mix of Asian(Chinese, mainly) names but still using Western naming systems. Elonian names usually have names of an African heritage.
